ShopTab eCommerce Cart of the Week – Avactis

With so many online shopping cart options, finding what is best for your business can be overwhelming.    Each week ShopTab features one online shopping cart, interviewing the featured cart’s developer to provide an opportunity to learn about why their cart may be right for your business.

This week we spoke with Avactis, an online shopping cart that prides itself on its fast and easy integration into an existing Web site.

Established in 2001 by Pentasoft Corporation, this New York based company collaborates with businesses in Tokyo, Moscow, and Ulyanovsk (Russia), in order to provide the highest level of service to its customers. They strive to deliver high quality e-commerce products and services for small- and medium- sized companies to help them maintain a successful online business.

Avactis is designed for performance optimization and absolute customization. With multiple storefronts, unique designes for any category or product, and intelligent automatic upgrade systems it is clear why Avactis can be exactly what your business needs.

Q: Why did you launch Avactis?

A: We have extensive experience in the implementation of e-commerce projects for both large companies, medium- and small-sized businesses all over the world. We implemented hundreds of e-commerce projects. Based on this expertise and input from small and medium companies, we developed the Avactis PHP shopping cart software, which allows such companies to start online business rapidly and without heavy investments.

Q: What features make Avactis unique from its competitors?

A: One of the major advantages of Avactis is the use of unique technologies that, unlike other shopping cart software, provides for the fast and easy integration of an online store into an existing website, thus minimizing the time-to-market for our customers and partners.

It can be customized for any design with no programming skills (using HTML WYSIWYG editors such as Dreamweaver), and is easy to integrate with an existing Web site through a unique tag-based technology.

Q: How many products will your eCommerce platform allow?

A: The software has no logical limitations on the number of products. The code is optimized for smooth performance with up to 35,000 products and more. We tested Avactis with 100,000 products, and it was fast even without any special server configuration.

Q: What is the cost for Avactis’s service?

A: Avactis Owned version cost is $199, WhiteLabel version cost $299. We have very good lifetime discounts for Web Developers. Besides we offer ecommerce hosting for our product, which cost is $19.95 / month (free level 1 support is included).

Support, installation, and upgrade services are available as well.

Q: What plans do you have for future cart development?

A: We plan to release a multi-language version and advanced CMS system. Another current focus is on developing our partner network.

Q: How does Avactis handle customer report?

A: Last year we launched a new support system: issue-based support using Support Credits. Our support is HelpDesk based.

Q: Do you have any other comments about Avactis for ShopTab readers?

A: We wish good luck to ShopTab customers. Feel free to join ShopTab & Avactis community.

  • Our web design
company was looking for a mid-range ecommerce platform that had decent
functionality, a reasonable price tag and wouldn’t take a lifetime to
implement. We chose Avactis and so far all is well. We have a few Avactis
websites under our belt, they were easy enough to implement. Like most ecommerce
platforms, Avactis is a big beast made up of a lot of template pages so a
decent design will take more than a few hours to implement. It usually takes us
a couple of weeks to have it up and running and tested across all browsers. The
Avactis Tag system is straight forward to understand after a bit of study.
Overall we are happy with it and shall continue to use, well worth checking
    out.
