We understand that online shopping is becoming increasingly mobile. That’s why we’re constantly searching for solutions that allow you to sell more products to your mobile fans with your Facebook store.
Facebook’s mobile app doesn’t allow third party apps to appear on mobile pages (there’s no shop tab like on a desktop) so we had to get creative. Here’s a little trick you can use to provide access to your Facebook store at the top of your mobile Facebook page.
1. Login to your Facebook account
2. Click on Settings at the top of your Facebook page
3. Click “Page Info”
4. Paste the link to your ShopTab store in the “Short Description” section (you can access the link in your ShopTab account, under “Settings” and “Promote Store”)
If you add a link to your Facebook store in the “Short Description” section of your fan page, customers on mobile phones and tablets will be able to click it to access your store. Here’s an example of what it looks like:
Watch this video for step-by-step instructions on how to add your store link to the “Short Description” section of your Facebook page:
NOTE: Sometimes the ”About” section will not appear on your mobile Facebook page, because different types of mobile Facebook pages show different things, depending on if you’ve added things like an address, phone number, hours, etc. You may have to edit or remove certain sections of your Facebook’s page info in order to get the link to appear for mobile customers.
Adding this link to your page is a great way for mobile customers to access your Facebook store, but keep in mind that the majority of your selling will be done on your wall. You want to consistently promote your products and your store in wall posts so your customers will see them when browsing their Facebook news feed. To promote an individual product on your Facebook wall (with a mobile friendly link), use the Promote button under the “My Products” page, shown here:
