The combination of e-commerce and Facebook has once again proven to be an effective way to drive sales and our recent study confirms it.
In the past year ShopTab Facebook store sales growth has seen a 480% growth rate. That’s massive growth, and validates the fact that more customers are willing to make purchases through social networks.
This is part of a much larger trend that has been sweeping across the e-commerce landscape. More people are buying online, more people are buying on mobile, and more people are buying on Facebook.
55% of all buyers do their research on social networks, and more people are turning to Facebook before making purchases. It seems natural to allow buyers to make purchases in the same environment that they are doing product research.
As of the first quarter of 2015, Facebook had 1.44 billion monthly active users. The numbers are rising and rising, and there is no sign that the growth will stop anytime soon.
72% of online adults now visit the social network at least once a month, and those adults are more comfortable spending money online.
