Delete Facebook’s Most Recent Shop App from your Fan Page

Since ShopTab’s start in 2009, Facebook has attempted to sell directly via the fan page several times with different internal and outsourced options apps and features. Their current “shop” version is a Shopify product that provides a simple user interface but may not have the functionality required for many sellers. We receive numerous requests each week from users that desire to delete the shop so that they can use our Facebook Store app or just get rid of it since it doesn’t work for them.

How to eliminate the app from your page:

Step 1: Click the “Shop” text option on the left rail that takes you to their shop option.

Step 2: Under the Settings or “Gear” option, click the “Delete shop” option.

Step 3: Confirm your choice.

This will eliminate the app from your page. You will now have the option to add another store app like ShopTab to see if it can provide the complete e-commerce experience that you desire.  Let us know if you have any questions by sending us a note at support@shoptab.net

I have been trying all day to get this set up. I have finally gotten the URL right for the shop now. I have my PayPal and other info in. I have gotten items added to shoptab but I can’t get them to stay showing on my face book page that I have set up for selling. The only way I found them at all was by clicking the bottom shop button in the left column. Then the items didn’t show. I had to click on the all products to get them to appear, but they won’t stay. What am I doing wrong? I really love the way it looks, and I went through to check out and loved that. HELP!

  • We just responded to your support note. Take a look – I think we addressed the issue since you had set up the store to show categories first.

okay, so when a customer enters my page, they will not see the items until they click the bottom shop button on the left side, am I correct? Is there a way to convey this on the page?
The way it looks, they can pay from the page, but do they have to have a PayPal account themselves? When I click pay now, it goes to my account (of course) but what will it do for someone else? The shop now button is useless, at least for me, I don’t know what it will show for someone else.
Now, I am also having problems with it showing on my cell. It basically looks like the same landing page but the shop now button. I sent an invite to my daughter’s cell and when she clicked shop now, it brought up the shop. So is it safe for me to send invitations and promote my shop?
Also, can I add categories now? Or is it best to leave well enough alone?

Hello, I had online shop until a few months ago, now created a new online store and I want to connect it to my facebook page, but I can`t delete my previous shop products, becouse I simply don`t have “delete shop” botton. I spent a lot of time searching how to delete it, but it just doesn`t work… Can you help me?

Have you ever received a response for this as I have the same issue via an old ecwid store that even though I closed the account, it is still showing on my page.

This is not relevant anymore, the ‘delete shop’ button is gone. I’m having a lot of trouble really ‘deleting’ the shop from my page and adding a new collection manually. If there is any help please let me know, i can use some…
